The limited edition prints are made using fine art quality Giclee inks and printed on to acid free paper. Every effort is made to ensure that the print is a high quality reproduction of the watercolour original.
A digital image is produced of the original, sometimes by digital scanning, or more usually now, by using high quality digital photography by
David Shapiro under controlled lighting conditions.
The image produced by a professional digital single lens reflex (DSLOR) camera is colour matched to the original before printing. The computor screen and printer are professionally profiled (calibrated), the printer profile being specific to the paper used. This ensures consistently accurate rendition of the original colours.
Prints are made using a professional inkjet ("Giclee") printer, on fine art paper. The finished result produces a print with a look and feel closely resembling the original watercolour.
Each print is numbered with the edition number and signed by the artist.
Prints can be purchased unmounted and unframed, and posted to you.
