Description
This is a handmade original linocut print on paper, signed and editioned by the artist. The image was created from a view of Little Barbrook, full to the brim with water, looking across at water level as the water moves and ripples, agitated by the action of swimming and by the wind.
It is a two plate reduction process linocut, hand-printed by the artist on Somerset satin cotton rag paper. It is a variable edition of 9 prints, plus 6 test prints that have subtle changes in the colours of the ripples or shoreline that were made to test and experiment for each colour layer.
Please note: It is described as a variable edition. There is slight variation in between individual prints in this edition. The image design and the printing plates were the same for each print, but there is some variation in the clouds in the sky and very slight variation in the colours in the water or shoreline in the test prints.
